Grille Vs Stainless Steel Mesh Security Screens
Two of the most popular security screen options are grille and stainless-steel mesh. Understanding the differences before choosing the right screen for your home or business is important.
Grille security screens. Made of an aluminium frame with an aluminium grille screened in fibreglass mesh, they act as a barrier to trespassers without restricting air movement, and suit homes that want a more traditional appearance.
Pros of grille screens: crafted from steel, iron or metal alloys, coated and painted in various colours; they don't block natural light or prevent air movement; and they come in styles that go well with period features like window shutters.
Cons of grille screens: they don't prevent insects entering your home, and they don't help regulate airflow or temperature.
Stainless steel mesh security screens. Made of 304 or 316 stainless steel mesh encased in strong aluminium framing, they allow light through while offering a higher level of protection and contributing to your property's aesthetic appeal.
