Keep your home safe with Crimsafe
Being a victim of a burglary or break-in can be a hugely traumatising experience. There are some simple things you can do to help protect your home and family from unwanted intruders, using Crimsafe.

Lock up your home. Locksmiths can configure all your windows to a single key for extra convenience. Even if you are going out for a short time, be sure to lock all your doors and windows. Most burglaries happen in the day when opportunistic thieves take advantage of unlocked homes.
Change your locks. Changing your locks is a great starting point to securing your property, if you have just moved into your new home, or if you believe your locks may have been compromised. You should also change your locks as soon as possible if you, or any other residents, lose your keys.
Add alarm and sensor lights. An alarm system is another deterrent. Sensor lights switch on when they detect movement, making them an excellent way of increasing your security.
Dogs for extra security. A barking dog can be an excellent alert, and an excellent deterrent. Even something as simple as a 'Beware of the Dog' sign can make thieves think twice.
Lock your valuables away. Items such as phones, wallets, laptops and jewellery should be locked up.
Practise social media silence. If you have an upcoming trip, avoid revealing too much about it online. For an extended absence, ask trusted family or friends to check in on your home and collect your mail.
